M-Clip Money Clip

Are you searching for the ultimate small-sized wallet solution? This may be the item you've hoped for. M-Clip's money clip designs hold bills and cards securely, doing it with a stylish form factor that fits easily in a front pants pocket.

At first glance, the M-Clip's simple design can appear somewhat like a glorified clothespin. After several years using one though, I can assure you it's a lot more than that. The first thing a new owner will appreciate is the choice of beautiful external designs. M-Clips in various styles are comprised of variety of metals, inlays, and finishes. While I prefer the more subdued look of simple stainless steel, people who prefer a little more excitement have plenty of options. Inlays include wood, mother of pearl, carbon fiber, brushed metal, leather and painted or anodized surfaces. Be sure to take a spin through Amazon's selection of many clips and find one that best matches your preferred aesthetics. Prices vary depending on the configuration you choose, starting at about $100.

Usability proves stellar. When the clip needs to be opened to remove cash or cards, the inlay sections side out to give much better grip and leverage when forcing open the clip's very sturdy spring. Once the cards are placed back into the M-Clip's grips, a user simply slides the inlays back down the grooves in the M-Clip body. Precious personal items are held in place tightly. The M-Clip features not only a the heat-treated metal spring, but also a rubber-like material lining the clip arms. Once the clip clamps down on your credit cards, and the arms are secured against the M-Clip body, personal items have nowhere to go until you decide to set them free again. I've never experienced cards or money breaking free without my intervention.

When opening the clip, the motion is extremely smooth thanks to ball bearing assistance within. In my own experience, after months of usage, an accumulation of pocket lint can hinder the motion a bit. When that happens, fear not. A little rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip can remove minor buildup, and a single drop of lubricant can return the M-Clip to its usual smooth-operating self. I've found dry bicycle chain lubricant a stellar option on the rare occasion it's needed.

M-Clips come in two sizes. The smaller version holds an average number of cards and cash, while the larger "High Roller" version features a larger spring section that accommodates whopping 150 bills or an equivalent combination of cards and cash.

Other than patina in the stainles steel surface, my own M-Clip continues to serve admirably since my purchase more than five years ago. $100 or more may seem a minor investment for a money clip, but build quality, style, and beautiful materials make the M-Clip a long-term winner.
